On the table, to her left is a flour sifter and a pan of biscuits in front of the sifter. On the table, to her right are several stacked bowls and a canning jar of maple syrup or other preserve. A tin is next to the canning jar. Another pan of biscuits is placed in the middle of the table. She wears a light colored cotton blouse or dress with a broach at the collar and a long apron. Her sleeves are rolled up and her hair is pulled back.
