Handwritten on the back of the image in pencil is HOME & BARNS OF HORACE CLARK BRADISH NEAR ROCHESTER NY. Image shows one main barn on the left with cupola. Large double doors are in the center of the barn wall. A machine shed with four bays and a breezeway is to the right of the barn, not connected. On the right is antoher barn with gable roof; central, double doorway and cupola with a cow weathervane on the top. Fences border the barnyard. A horizontal post (a gate) is in the foreground of the image. Horace Clark Bradish was one of ten children of Clark Bradish (b. 1788, d. 1882) and Hannah Hayes Bradis (b.? d. 1882). Horace married first wife Elizabeth Coventry Wade on 4/21/1845 and had one son Charles Eugene Bradish b. 1850. Elizabeth died in 1851. Horace Clark Bradish remarried on 3/17/1852 to Laura Stone and had two daughters, Nellie and Ella.
