Photographic print. In the photograph a man raises or lowers a basket of cans into a large vat in a mushroom canning factory. Cans are also lined up on a table. On the reverse is handwritten AFTER THEY ARE CANNED AND SEALED THEY ARE STEAMED AGAIN/SAMUEL POPLOCK/OWNER. Stamped in red on the reverse TRANQUILLE/N.Y. The factory was located on Niagara Street in Utica, NY. Samuel Poplock was listed as a mushroom grower in the Utica Directory from the mid1940s-1950s. The building on Niagara Street in Utica was sold in 1962.
