Stereograph. An operator works salt into butter at Briarcliff Farms. The butter has been taken from a churn and placed on a circular table. One ounce of salt per pound of butter is added to the table. The operator piles the butter into a ridge so that it will be carried under the rollers and mixed with salt while water is being squeezed out.
