Slide is from the Cornell University, Dept. of Dairy Industry and was part of an educational slide show. Image shows a map of the "State of New York" with counties noted. At the top is a key for Butter Factories, Cheese Factories and Butter and Cheese Factories. At the bottom are "Statistics for the Year 1902." These are: Area in Square Mile, 49,170. Admitted to the Union as a State, July 26, 1788. First creamery or cheese factory established in 1851. Number of cows in 1850, 931, 324. Population in 1850, 3, 097, 034. Butter Factories 448.
