Photographic negative. Per image envelope: Farm lands near Mohawk River- west of Utica. Image is of a summer landscape with the Mohawk River winding though it. On either side of the river can be seen fertile planted and plowed farmland. In the distance to the right and top of the image can be seen a town(s) or village(s). A main road or highway curves through the landscape from the right of the image toward the top and across to the left. The canal (?) may also be seen between the river and the highway. "Tranquille" is written on the bottom of the negative. Lines are drawn around the image and "4 wl" or "4we" is written on the non-emulsion side of the image.
